This is the budget-friendly version of the GameBoy Blaster, using less ROM and SRAM. It uses a CPLD to recreate the Nintendo MBC5 mapper chip, and paired with its low cost, makes it perfect for homebrew or new releases made with the GBDK toolkit! More info on GBDK can be found here.

No soldering, no hassle! Simply pop the board into the RetroBlaster Programmer/Dumper with the GB/GBC/GBA adapter and write your game to it, and the RetroBlaster software will do the rest.

The GameBoy Blaster Lite comes with:

• 1MByte ROM space
• 32KByte SRAM + Battery

Should work in any compatible console or peripheral, including the Super GameBoy or GameCube GB Player.

Incompatibility

• Some games (like Super Mario Land 2) may need to be patched first, because they use features specific to other MBC mappers. Patch downloads for some games available here
• Does not support games that require a RTC (real-time clock) so it may not work well with Pokemon games
