This little board is a one-stop-shop for the GameBoy or GameBoy Color handheld consoles. It uses a CPLD to recreate the Nintendo MBC5 mapper chip, which allows 99% compatibility with the GB/GBC library!
No soldering, no hassle! Simply pop the board into the RetroBlaster 2.0 Programmer with the GB/GBC/GBA adapter and write your game to it, and the RetroBlaster software will do the rest. It takes all the guess-work out of making your game playable on a real console!
The GameBoy Blaster configuration comes with:
- 4MByte or 8MByte ROM space
- 32KByte of FRAM – which means no battery needed to hold save games
or, for LSDJ (Little Sound DJ) support or other games requiring more than 32KByte for save games:
- 2MByte ROM space
- 128KByte SRAM + Battery
All configurations are fully 5V friendly, and should work in any compatible console or peripheral, including the Super GameBoy or GameCube GB Player.
