This little board is a one-stop-shop for the GameBoy or GameBoy Color handheld consoles. It uses a CPLD to recreate the Nintendo MBC5 mapper chip, which allows 99% compatibility with the GB/GBC library!
No soldering, no hassle! Simply pop the board into the RetroBlaster 2.0 Programmer with the GameBoy adapter and write your game to it, and the RetroBlaster software will do the rest. It takes all the guess-work out of making your game playable on a real console!
The GameBoy Blaster configuration comes with:
- 4MByte or 8MByte ROM space
- 32KByte of FRAM – which means no battery needed to hold save games
or, for LSDJ support or games requiring more than 32KByte for save games:
- 1MByte ROM space
- 128KByte SRAM + Battery
All configurations are fully 5V friendly, and should work in any compatible console or peripheral, including the Super GameBoy or GameCube GB Player.
