Get ready for the N64 Blaster 2.0!
This cartridge can be programmed to play almost any N64 game using the RetroBlaster Programmer (sold separately). Just pop your cartridge into the programmer, select your game and you’re on your way to be able to play on a real N64 console!
Using the on-board switches, you can select between all different N64 CIC types and 4K/16K EEPROM for saving. You also have the option of using SRAM for certain games that require that save type, like “Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time” or “F-Zero X”, and there is a battery holder on the back for a standard CR2032 battery. Additionally, there is a jumper on the back of the cartridge for NTSC/PAL selection depending on your console’s region, enabling this one cartridge to be played on any console anywhere in the world.
There are a few variations you can choose from:
- 32MByte or 64MByte ROM size to handle even the largest N64 games
- With SRAM saving + battery, and EEPROM saving
- With SRAM saving + battery only
- With EEPROM saving only
- With no saving (using only controller pak)
If you don’t know what you need, then the “64MB, EEPROM, SRAM+battery” is the way to go, as that will allow 99% of the N64 library to work without any extra fuss.
NOTE: This model does not support games that use FlashRAM or RTC. This affects only about a dozen out of ~250+ games from the N64 games library.
